To all ROTBTD fans,

If you are going to ship Hiccup with either Jack, Merida, or Rapunzel go ahead and do it. Just please don’t make Astrid the bitchy jerk character! I’m sorry but it just breaks my heart always seeing ROTBTD fanart and fanfics on my dash where they make Astrid so mean and harsh to Hiccup. Especially since she’s my favorite character. I just found out that the scene I’ve had playing over and over and over again within my head was. It was a scene with a little girl drawing inside a burning cabin, and was then saved by her father. Knowing what this movie is has been haunting me for years now, and it bothered me so much.

Now I know it was actually a Tom And Jerry movie from 1992…..

My mind is blown right now, I got goose bumps when I watch the trailer. that movie was from when I was probably 3, it’s scary to see it again now so much later and reflect upon it. I guess I know one of the alternate things Ill be doing this weekend other then studying for finals it.

Because Pitch realised that snapping the crook would actually physically hurt Jack enough to make him SCREAM and subsequently revels in his pain, KICKS HIM WHILE HE’S DOWN by slamming him into a wall and traps him down a (Currently) inescapable crevice, and then, to frigging add insult to injury, drops the broken remains of his only possession for the last three hundred years down there with him. Jack is just a powerless as a regular child in that moment and his fear and misery must be absolutely DIVINE to Pitch.

Let me drive this home: Pitch ENJOYED dropping an injured, defenceless boy down a gorge to probably DIE ALONE (Since he probably presumes Baby Tooth is dead) because he was BITTER, and then tormented Jack with a symbol of his lost power. Nice, Pitch, NICE…

I might just be a little melodramatic, but that’s what he did.

If Pitch was smart, he would have left it top side, but luckily he enjoyed hurting Jack too much to let a stupid little thing like logic stop his own twisted sense of fun.))

what a lot of people don’t understand about Pitch, yes he’s horrible, and everyone keeps blaming his past, saying that he did what he did for a good reason,

BUT YOU PEOPLE KEEP FORGETTING HE’S ENJOYING IT.

HE’S NOT JUST DOING THIS FOR REVENEGE, HE’S ENJOYING HURTING PEOPLE, HE ENJOYED KILLING SANDY, HURTING JACK, NEARLY KILLING THE GUARDIANS

HE LIKED IT!

Oh gods are people finally paying attention to that? Is it FINALLY getting noticed that Pitch doesn’t JUST want to be believed in, that there is a darker sense behind it? I can praise everything that is good in this world.

Sometimes, with this scene, I like to entertain the thought of Pitch going back there, ONLY to wait till Jack has become completely weakened and put up the offer once again.

Because just look at how he tried to convince him before.

BY ATTEMPTING TO WEAKEN JACK MENTALLY. He tried to break this kid in order to get him to join him. He ran him around his lair, taunting him, berating him, taking the ONE GOOD THING Jack had in 300 years and tearing it from under his feat and placing all of his fears out in front of him.

So he could have a powerful ally.

Let’s face it. Yes, Pitch didn’t want to be alone any longer, but also, he would have NEVER considered trying to get Jack on his side lest he saw just how powerful he was. Jack only mattered in that instance where he threw out the frost lightning that completely threw Pitch out of the sky. THEN and only then was he interested.

But then again, he might not have gone back for him since he believed breaking Jack’s staff rendered him useless.

Brad Bird, director and writer for The Incredibles (and Edna Mode’s voice) has declared to be getting ready for the film’s sequel. He admitted it was because “he loves those characters and their world”. He has already thought of many elements he thinks would work great for The Incredibles 2, but has to first finish Walt Disney Pictures’ Tomorrowland with George Clooney and Hugh Laurie, which will be released December 2014. This could mean that the film could be coming in 2016 or 2017.

Okay, like…what total fucking assholes. Actually we HAVE heard of the Great Recession! In fact, that’s WHY we live with our parents! And I don’t actually know ANYONE in that age bracket who is optimistic about the future. And I’m not sure how wanting a job with greater responsibility makes you narcissistic. My last job was as a barista. You’re telling me I shouldn’t want a job with greater responsibility than making coffee and being nice to people when they were mean? And none of the people I have ever worked with EXPECTED to get promoted regardless of performance. They either didn’t care about being promoted, or they expected to get promoted by working hard to show that they were more competent than everyone else.

Go fuck yourself, Time.

P.S. Want millenials to stop thinking about themselves so much? Then maybe you should make Syria or Bangladesh the cover story instead of whining about how your kids are annoying.

i have a bachelor’s degree and my cumulative GPA was 3.76 and i still worked as a cashier at minimum wage for a year because it was that or go without food and a roof over my head.

i was extremely lucky to stay on my dad’s health insurance this year, but that’s because trying a job with benefits was a fucking joke.

all the academics i know keep telling me “be prepared to live on nothing as a grad student,” but the 19k a year stipend is actually going to be the most money i’ve ever had in my life. obviously highlights the generational difference.

all the older people calling us lazy and selfish put us in this situation by supporting legislation that allowed them to stay selfish and lazy by pushing all the economic problems down the line until they became OUR problem.

people older than millennials reaped the benefits of a functioning economy and then decided not to give a rats ass about how we were going to fare in the future.

I laughed SO hard reading this article. I think it’s excellent and I love Josh Sanburn’s work.

Firstly this article is about an issue that’s common with Millenials, not ‘always’. Like me, I can relate to a lot of it, even if it makes me look bad. It’s just the truth. I live with my parents, I don’t rebel, and 100 other things he mentioned. But my boyfriend is in the right age bracket but is nothing of a Millennial at all. Independent, responsible, etc.Those of you have had it tough, fair enough for you.

But you have to agree with the stuff like how narcissism was created through parents telling their kids they were great whether or not they did anything great. How can we be motivated to do something truly special when we’re told we’re special just for existing? The journalist gave a good tip to parents, ‘just tell them you love them’. Let them work for more acknowledgement. As a kid my father saw me shoot one basket out of 20 and thought I should try out for the team. I spelled a long word correctly and my mom wanted me to be in the spelling bee. If I had listened to all that I would have been in a world of hurt because it just wasn’t true.That and our generation being fed participation ribbons. God, did I hate getting them.

I believe a lot of what the article is saying, but we need to think beyond what the article says and take the next step. We can combat our narcissism by looking at ourselves more closely. I applaud any of my Millennial peers who are with me in a mission not to promote the ‘entitlement baby’ mentality. Maybe our parents boomer generation instilled it in us, but we can still fight it.
